Every year we make a calendar for our office and every year it is exciting to choose from literally thousands and thousands of photos for our most beautiful images.
It is our goal to deliver an amazing selection of images to each couple from their Wedding.
We know this is one of the most precious moments in their lives.
Each night on an island has different lighting, wind conditions, temperature factors. Each Wedding has different family dynamics, colors, budgets.
It is our job to make each couple Calendar Worthy. We look at every couple as our favorite subject and do just that. I am proud to say that each couple could make their own stunning calendar from their photos.
But how do you choose from thousands to less than fifty? As the one who does this here at McLaughlin Photo & Video, I can assure you this is not easy, but it is exciting.
What I look for is an image that tells all, that needs no words to evoke emotion, that draws you in to this moment, on this night.
So many calendars are made the world over. I just met with a couple who were here planning their October Wedding. They loved our calendar.
They did not know the couples or families involved. Had not chosen the flowers or table decorations. They are getting married at a private home but loved the views from a local resort.
Kim and Michael were completely drawn in and excited to turn to the next month to see more. I realized I should pull the calendar off the wall more often.
Needless to say we will be shooting their Wedding and look forward to capturing their day with as much glory, color, and detail as they saw here in our Calendar.

I love the framing, the lighting, the characters, the setting. Our team - myself, Aimee Gilman, Paula Vieceli, and Julie Austin care so much about our couples and it shows.
